You’re Engaged…. Now What?!

Congratulations! You recieved the proposal of your dreams, and you still find yourself looking at your sparkly ring. I am sure you have inspo boards, and ideas of how you want your perfect day to go. Your wedding is on the horizon, and soon the details will start falling into place. There is a big question that most couples find themself asking. Where do we start?

On average, a wedding takes 528 hours to plan ( that is twenty two days straight). It can be stressful, and often make you wonder if a large party is really worth it. Trust me, whatever size or style of event you choose to have, it WILL be worth it. At the end of the day you will married to your best friend.

 

Here are some pointers to get you started in the right direction:


Choose your date- This is the most important detail. If you are budget minded, remember that weddings are more expensive in June, the Fall, and close to holidays).


Set your budget- Be sure to set a budget that is reasonable for your finances. Going into debt for a wedding will only cause extra stress. Do you want a high quality photographer? Go for it, but realize that you may have to trim your budget for florals or a videographer. Set your priorities, and stick to them. You will thank me later.


Choose your venue- This is the number one thing you need to do after choosing your date, and setting your budget. Venues book up quickly. If you wait too long you may find yourself compromising with the date you have originally chosen.


Choose your vendors- Vendor's calenders fill up quickly. Most are even booking into the next year.


Consider help- Event Coordinators are lifesavers. You don't want to spend your day working, delegating your friends, and worrying about the small details. Your wedding day is a day where you are supposed to be pampered.



Remember that this is suppose to be a magical time in your life. Don't let the stress overtake the joy.

De Anna was our day of coordinator for our wedding and she was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING 💕

She went above and beyond for us. Me and my husband love her (and he’s not much of a people person, so if he loved her, it was already a win). She did so much behind the scenes and never faltered.
